In case of issues with the Beamex Sync application.
The Beamex Sync application won't start
Beamex has used application whitelisting services to prevent this from happening, but if you try to start the Beamex Sync application and nothing happens, your antivirus software might have blocked it. After allowing the application to run, everything should work normally.
Nothing happens after signing into your Beamex account
If you can sign into your Beamex account, but the Beamex Sync application is stuck in the following view:
- Most likely, there is a firewall blocking a necessary port. The Beamex Sync application requires ports 443 and 50051 to be open.
Synchronization freezes
If synchronization freezes for an extended period (i.e., the sync button remains "grayed out"), you need to restart the application for it to synchronize again.
Errors when synchronizing instruments
Sometimes the instrument is not compatible with the calibrator. In these cases, the synchronization log can provide helpful information about what could have gone wrong. This occurs at least in the following scenarios:
MC2/4 related known issues
- MC2/4 only support error calculated for output if unit is %of span.
- Combined error limit is not supported by MC2/4 calibrators. Only constant or only relative error limit are supported.
The selected temperature sensor type is not found on the calibrator
The list of sensor types available for each calibrator is listed in the product brochure. If you attempt to use a sensor type you have not purchased for the calibrator, it will cause an error.
