Beamex Sync Application 2.1.0 Release
Release Date: 4 June, 2026
New features:
- Support for uncertainty calculations between Beamex calibration management software and MC6 family calibrators: See more details from LOGiCAL 2.15.0 / CMX 2.18 release notes.
- Support for scaling functionality: CMX 2.18 introduces support for scaling input and output values. This allows users to convert measurement or generation signals into meaningful process values, making calibration and loop checks easier and more intuitive. This feature brings the familiar MC6 scaling functionality into CMX and enables transfer of scaling configurations between CMX and MC6 family calibrators. This allows scaling to be centrally configured in CMX and automatically used during documenting calibrations.
- Support for External Reference Setpoint (ERS): CMX 2.18 adds the ability to configure External Reference Setpoint and an additional stability limit at the function level for temperature instruments calibrated with an MC6-T calibrator.
Changes:
- Beamex Sync now gives clearer feedback when the user is not signed in or when authentication has expired. This prevents confusion where Sync appeared to be loading or not working, while the actual issue was that the user had been signed out.
- Improved privacy and usability when syncing LOGiCAL users to MC6 family calibrators. Beamex Sync now transfers only users who are permitted to perform calibrations, and in organizations using site-based access control it further limits the list to users belonging to the relevant site(s) in addition to users with global access. This limits the "Calibrated by" user list on the calibrator and minimizes unnecessary personnel data stored on the device.
Known issues:
- N/A
Other Important Information:
Organizations with many users might encounter slow Bluetooth performance and is recommended to use the "Sync only the assigned users over Bluetooth". It is recommended to remove the users in the calibrator prior to syncing with the setting active as removing many users over Bluetooth is also time consuming.
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.8 Release
Release Date: 27 March, 2026
Changes:
- Fixed an issue in Sync 2.0.7 where calibration results could show the calibrator certificate number instead of the connected reference sensor certificate number in PDF results and LOGiCAL result views.
Known issues:
- N/A
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.7 Release
Release Date: 6 March, 2026
Changes:
Changes related to temperature sensors
- Smart sensor handling improved: when a smart/custom reference sensor is used in documenting calibrator mode, its calibration date is now saved and transferred automatically, eliminating a manual workaround and ensuring CMX and LOGiCAL show the correct date in calibration results and certificates.
- Fixed an issue that caused syncing results from a calibrator to fail if a reference sensor with only positive CvD coefficients was used.
- Fixed an issue that created a duplicate of the sensor in the calibrator if the sensor's information was updated.
Other changes
- Fixed an issue where calibration results were not pushed back to LOGiCAL when uncertainty was enabled for certain MC6Ex HART temperature configurations.
- Improved error logging: the Sync application now logs all communication and synchronization failures with clearer context and details to make troubleshooting and customer support significantly easier.
- Fixed an issue where the Sync server could return an incorrect calibration interval time unit value ("days" instead of "day"), which could lead to interval parsing problems on clients/devices.
- Improved user feedback during synchronization: the application now shows a wait/progress indication while sync is running to make ongoing activity clearer and reduce accidental interaction during long sync operations.
Known issues:
- N/A
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.6 Release
Release Date: 17 June, 2025
Changes:
We have fixed several issues related to receiving calibration results:
- In case the error in a switch calibration was zero, the significance value was left empty (instead of zero).
- If unstable (~) marking was recorded on the calibrator, it did not appear in the results
- A skipped point showed a value "0" instead of the correct "----".
- The uncertainty value for skipped points have been changed from blank to "----" to align with other fields shown for skipped points.
Known issues:
- N/A
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.5 Release
Release Date: 31 March, 2025
New features:
- Support for Uncertainty Management in LOGiCAL ecosystem has been added to the Beamex Sync application. The functionality can be used with MC6 family calibrators only.
Changes:
- Due to a mismatch it was not possible to sync instruments with references (calibrators) created in LOGiCAL. The workaround was to delete the manually created reference and connect the calibrator to the Sync Application. The issue has now been resolved and manually created references can be used.
Known issues:
- There is an issue with the Beamex Sync application version 2.0.5. When calibration points are skipped, they are incorrectly shown as failed points in LOGiCAL. This will be fixed with an upcoming patch release.
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.3 Release
Release Date: 19 November, 2024
Changes:
Results syncing has been improved. Previously, deleted users caused issues when syncing results from the calibrator. Now, results can be synced, and deleted users are indicated in the result as "Unknown (deleted)".
The syncing of users has been improved. Users can now choose to sync all users or only the assigned user over Bluetooth. This setting is available on the settings tab in the Beamex Sync App. Note! It is important to sync existing results from the calibrator before changing the setting to only send the assigned user, as it may result in the deletion of users who have performed calibrations..
Known issues:
- N/A
Beamex Sync Application 2.0.2 Release
Release Date: 30 October, 2024
Changes:
Improvements made to the Bluetooth discovery to make it more user friendly.
Improvements made to the syncing of users. There was an issue with large amounts of users being sent over Bluetooth that could result in a timeout. The issue has been addressed by only sending the assigned user. If used with CMX and Mobile Security Plus activated, defined Mobile Users and Mobile Supervisors are also sent.
Corrected the link to the online user guide from within the application.
Known issues:
- N/A
Other Important Information:
- The Beamex Sync Application replaces the Beamex LOGiCAL Sync application and is used to communicate both with CMX and LOGiCAL.
