Manage work
Manage work view is used in planning and executing calibration activities.
In the view you see the instruments that are due for calibration. The list can be ordered by plant node, position, function name, device or due date. Note also that the view may have several pages, depending on your database size. There are filters and search functionality available to help you out with your tasks.
The manage work view is following the same layout as the instrument view. This gives the user the possibility to view the plant structure, filter and customize the visible columns.
Instrument Fields
Column | Description |
---|---|
Plant node | If the instrument to be calibrated has a plant node defined, it is shown here. By clicking on the Plant node, you are redirected to the plant node in question in the instrument view. Field can also be empty, if no plant structure is defined. |
Position | If the instrument has position ID information, it is shown here. By clicking on the Position ID, you are redirected to the position in question. Field can also be empty, if the instrument is a free device. |
Function name | Name given for the function to be calibrated. By clicking on the Function ID, you are redirected to the function in question. |
Device | Each instrument has a Device ID. By clicking on the Device ID, you are redirected to the device in question.Field cannot be empty |
Due date | Self explanatory. |
Status | The due date status is here marked with a color indication next to the Due date. Red color means overdue, yellow means that the due date is within 30 days or less. No color means that the due date is more than 30 days away. |
State | See description |
Assigned to | This column shows to whom the calibration task is assigned. |
Calibrator | Shows which calibrator the assigned instrument is sent to. |
State
The state column can have several values:
State | Description |
---|---|
Empty | State can be empty, if no calibration has been performed. |
Calibrated on (date) | If a calibration has previously been performed, the calibration date is shown. |
Assigned | Shown when a calibration task has been assigned for a user. |
In Progress | In progress means that the instrument has been synced to a mobile device and the calibration task is in progress. |
Assign
When you click Assign for calibration, you start the process to assign the instrument from the selected row(s) for calibration. Every assigned row is presented with an lock icon on the right. It is also possible to show to whom the task has been assigned.
See Assign for more details.
Note!
Assigned instruments are also locked from editing.
Unassign
A calibration task is assigned to a specific user. If you want to cancel an assigned calibration task, click Unassign. This releases the calibration task to be assigned to another user or the instrument to be edited. What happens depends on the State value:
State | Description |
---|---|
Assigned | If work hasn't already been synced to the mobile device, the work is cancelled and the user, to whom the work was assigned doesn't receive the instrument to his mobile device when syncing. |
In Progress | Instrument has already been synced to a mobile device for calibration. The user who is performing the work in the field can continue with the calibration and sync the result back to LOGiCAL. If you want to prevent that from happening, you need to contact the user who the work is assigned to to remove the instrument manually from the mobile device. |
